I have always been immersed in the world of textiles and for many years it has been my sole creative medium. Today I make wearable art and love to create individual pieces that each have their own visual story.

 

Playing with fashion the way an artist produces a sketch or a painting is a fundamental element of my design technique. Throughout the creation process I allow freedom to the hands to express an intuitive feeling with the colours and textures that produces a sense of presence and individuality in each piece.

I love to produce silhouettes that are simple and timeless. The signature Tialin detail is expressed through applique shapes, stitched words and images that tell an ever current story

I enjoy dyeing cotton and linen in vibrant shades, mixing fabrics textures as well as experimenting with construction techniques. Whenever step outside of the box I bend the creative rules I am always delighted and surprised at what emerges from simple cotton and thread.
